Susan (13) represents Germany at the Junior ESC with “Stronger with you”

 Unser Star für Warschau: Susan (13) fährt für Deutschland zum Junior ESC

During the broadcast of “KiKA LIVE: Junior Eurovision Song Contest – Das Casting”, the Berlin-based Susan was able to impress the jury and ultimately prevailed over more than 70 talents in an extensive national selection process. The jury was made up of music producer Martin Haas, former ESC participant Max Mutzke, vocal and show coach Michele Huesmann and Levent Geiger, last year's finalist of the songwriter competition “Dein Song” (ZDF).

Susan will perform the ballad “Stronger with you”, written by Levent Geiger. The winner herself can hardly believe her success: “Since I was little, it has always been my dream to take part in the Eurovision Song Contest,” says Susan. “It is all the more exciting that I am now allowed to represent Germany at the Junior ESC. I hope that I can make my country and the people who stand behind me proud.”

The 18th Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be held on November 29, 2020 in Warsaw by the Polish broadcaster TVP and will be broadcast - live - from 5 p.m. on NDR on KiKA and on kika.de. This year‘s motto of the Junior ESC is “Move the world!”.

ZDF is set to produce a two-part documentary for KiKA: “Your Song for Warsaw” (ZDF) that shows the exciting journey from the song’s composition by Levent Geiger to the casting process and the show in Warsaw. The NDR will also produce the music video for “Stronger with you” and accompany Susan to Warsaw alongside KiKA.
